Principle 15: Questions lead to answers. Answers lead to harmony. Answers lead to productivity. Answers lead to customers.
“Questions . . . may start a train of thought that will lead to good results.”—John Patterson
If you’ve been following this series, you know that I’m working my way through Jeffrey Gitomer’s Little Platinum Book of Cha-Ching! I’ve been trying to relate his 32.5 strategies back to blogging. When I got to this principle I was a little stumped at first. After all, you can’t ask questions of your blog readers in real time.
Then it hit me. With Twitter, you can ask questions in real time and receive real answers. The trick is to combine your Twitter questioning with your blog posting. Is there any guarantee that you’ll receive answers on Twitter that are relevant to your blog audience? No guarantees, but people gather on Twitter around many different topics. Your tweet is available to everyone on the main page and you’re likely to get the answers you’re looking for. Experiment. Through out a question or two and see what the response is. Build up your Twitter following and followers.
Get asking!
